Audio Analysis Platform

Live microphone data transformed into filtered signals, frequency information, and responsive visuals.

Context: Collaborative embedded, backend, and frontend systems project

Summary

Built collaboratively with Cristi Miloiu, the platform captures microphone input through an ESP32, processes and streams the signal, and presents live information through a web interface. FastAPI, WebSockets, FFT analysis, filtering, and React visualization connect the embedded source to an interactive view of waveform and frequency behavior.

My role

Developed collaboratively with Cristi Miloiu. My repository-visible contribution focused on reproducible local setup, sanitized configuration, and integration cleanup across the ESP32, server, and client paths.

Conclusions

  • The project connects the complete signal path from physical microphone capture to live waveform and frequency-domain visualization.
  • WebSocket streaming delivers continuously changing samples to the browser through one persistent connection.
  • Real-time usefulness depends on balancing sampling, processing, network throughput, and rendering frequency as one system.
